Hello! My name is Aaron and I'm a senior design student studying Interactive Arts and Technology. Before entering into Business of Design, I had experience doing freelance branding and front end development. Wanting to expand my knowledge and experience in business, I became interested in this program. Although the subject of sustainability was a bit unfamiliar to me, I decided to take the leap and apply to become a part of the cohort.

Through IAT 330: Introduction to Business of Design, we faced many confusing, frustrating yet rewarding challenges. From the very beginning we were challenged to rethink what sustainability meant to us. I came to realize that sustainability is not for a select few, but really a lifestyle that everyone can and should adopt. Knowing that every action we take has some form of impact, I've grown a desire to develop sustainable habits for myself, for the people around me, and everything else I have an impact on.

Building sustainable habits for myself is a life long journey but right it looks like balancing, my school, work, and social life. Through this I hope to challenge and encourage my friends. All together, I hope to have a sustainable impact within my personal and creative endeavours.

This class helped my grow personally, and revisit my contributions within any situation. Beyond sustainability, this program has helped me learn my ability to adapt to different roles within groups, encouraged me to take chances, and motivated me to do more. I'm looking forward to seeing what new challenges BOD will bring.
